Car Accident💥
Dear Peeps,
The other night I was coming home from work and I was stopped at some lights and bam💥, a car runs into the back of me.
I pulled over into the side street and obviously was hesitant to the reaction I would get from the driver.
He was actually really nice and I was surprised there was so little damage for the force he hit me at. I was jolted forwards and pulled back by the seat belt. It gave me a shock. We exchanged details but I did not get his address. He told me to contact him if I needed anything.
He also admitted fault and went on a whole big ramble about how people don't take responsibility for their actions. He admitted to being very tired and he was not paying attention.
The insurance company told me I needed his address or I would pay the excess. This would be reimbursed later if he was proved guilty but why should I pay $900 excess if I did nothing wrong.
When I took the photo of his licence I missed 2 digits and did not take a photo of the back. I was too shaken to notice the bad photo.
So I texted him and this is how the exchange went.
I mean, why would he not even share his licence when he knew I had a photo already.
What this man does not know is you can get anyones postal address from the electoral roll unless you have made your address private and hardly anyone does this.
How do I know this you ask? A few years back, I had to send official court documents to some people and the onus was on me to find the addresses. I went to the police, who can't help but told me about the electoral role.
So off to the electoral office I went with S as I was tired and sore and did not want to drive. I went on the computer in the foyer and looked him up and now have his address.
Easy! I feel like texting him his address but I am not a bitch; well not today at least, because I am feeling sorry for myself.
I love Pub Choirs advice - one rule - Don't be a dickhead. This man was a 🍆🤯.
So my advice to you all is to take a photo of both sides of the licence and if they won't give it to you straight away - call the police - and then if you know their name go to the electoral roll.
And if you are at fault please be kind and share your details.
I had a massage today to try and ease the pain from the whiplash. And before you ask, it was a reputable place😄 - the towels were clean.
Be safe peeps.
Love,
Ro
Hope your ok. Yes dickhead !
